Another reason for concern involves the predictions of the well known seer, Nostradamus. The foreseer is most famed for his prophecies about the massive destruction and possible end of the planet caused by a comet that’s predicted to hit Earth during December of 2012. What makes Nostradamus ‘ prophecies far more horrifying are the accuracy with which he foretold many events, such as WWII and Hilter.
The year 2012 is fascinating on an astronomic level, also. In the December solstice of each year, the Sun and Milky Way align together. However , for the 1st time in 25,800 years, a length of time known generally as a “Great Year,” the Earth will also enter into this planetary arrangement. Happening in December of 2012, this special confluence will end in the alignment of the Earth with the Sun and Galactic Equator. Since the Galactic Equator marks the mid-point of our galaxy, this could place Earth in the middle of the Milky Way galaxy. This planetary occurrence also ties into Egyptian folklore. The Egyptians believed that we came from the Milky Way and therefore the Nile River is really the Milky Way’s reflection on Earth. There also are traditional Egyptian prophecies claiming that a catastrophic event is set to happen in 2012.
By examining the numerous prophecies and influences concerning 2012, it is clear that something is set to happen. Instead of interpreting these prophecies with fear, many opt to view them in a positive light. According to astrologers 2012 marks the start of the Age of Aquarius, a time of expansion, awareness and consciousness. This indicates the year that everybody will “wake up.” Folks may awaken in different ways and at various times, but the point is that everyone seems to be going to wake up. The sole annihilation to occur will be the passing of our old selves on our awakening to a new awareness. This new consciousness means accepting ourselves foremost as spiritual creatures with the realization that our spiritual connection is the most significant facet of our existence. At certain times the pain that many people experience in this life feels intolerable; however , the awareness that we are a part of a larger plan can frequently turn this unhappiness into a virtually unspeakable joy. When we are spiritually connected, we experience the pleasures and wonders of our lives that we’d otherwise miss. Instead of destruction, let 2012 bring us hope.
